About Love My Cupcakes

My Story

Hello everyone! I’m the proud founder of Love My Cupcakes! As a teacher and self-taught baker, I spent countless hours perfecting my craft during the 2019 pandemic. The result? A loyal following who swear they’ve never tasted Tres Leches cupcakes like mine!

Tres Leches Signature Cupcake
The Tres Leches cupcake is my signature cupcake, but I also offer unique flavors like Coquito, Coconut, Tiramisu, Chocolate, Red Velvet, and Pumpkin Spice. I'm always thinking "outside the box" to create flavors that delight every palate. Inspired by international desserts, I’ve curated a selection of gourmet cupcakes that remind me of my favorite childhood treats!

Baking is a Science!
Baking is an exact science, and at Love My Cupcakes, we’re dedicated to crafting the finest cupcakes and cakes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. All our products are baked to order to ensure maximum freshness and flavor.

So why baking?
Great question! I’ve always been fascinated by Cupcake Wars and the science of baking. When the pandemic hit, I took the opportunity to dive into research, comparing recipes, tweaking them, and baking into the late hours. There were plenty of fails (trust me, I cried!), but my persistence paid off. I wasn’t ready to give up, and I kept improving each time.

Follow your heart
I always tell my students to follow their heart and stay true to themselves. Never let doubt stop you from taking the leap because “What if?” is the question you never want to ask yourself later in life. People may have opinions, but the most important thing is that you stay humble and kind, and continue to grow.

A huge thank you to my beloved mother, "Mamita," who introduced me to Tres Leches desserts and was my greatest supporter. Sadly, she passed away in April 2021, but her love and encouragement live on in every batch I bake. Thanks to my wonderful husband and son, who have been by my side, helping bake and deliver cupcakes every step of the way. Does Love My Cupcakes only bake cupcakes?

No. We also bake signature Tres Leches cakes, Flan de Queso (caramel custard), cupcakes in a jar and cake pops. However, our cupcake menu is growing, and we regularly add new flavors. For our monthly flavor offerings, please refer to the menu on our website.

Are your baked goods made fresh?

Yes, all of our baked goods are made fresh daily using high quality ingredients locally sourced.

Do you offer gluten-free, vegan or sugar-free cupcakes?

Love My Cupcakes is not currently offering gluten-free, vegan or sugar-free flavors.

How do I store my gourmet cupcakes?

We recommend that you store your gourmet cupcakes that do not need refrigeration at room temperature. If you will be consuming the cupcakes more than 24 hours after purchasing them, we recommend freezing them and they are good for up to 10 days after they are purchased. To thaw them, leave them at room temperature for 2-3 hours before they are to be served. Cupcakes in a jar are good from 7 to 10 days at room temperature without refrigeration, 2 weeks refrigerated and can be frozen for up to 6 months.

For gourmet cupcakes that need refrigeration, such as Tres Leches, flan or any cupcake/cake that has a dairy-based, or whipped cream/cream cheese frosting, they should be kept refrigerated and served cold immediately. Kept refrigerated, good for 4 to 5 days. We recommend freezing them and they are good for up to 10 days after they are purchased. To thaw them, remove from freezer and place in refrigerator.

Does Love My Cupcakes deliver locally and ship nationwide?

Love My Cupcakes does not currently ship. We deliver locally to Sarasota County and surrounding areas. The minimum order for delivery is one dozen cupcakes. Delivery fees apply.

If I have a nut-allergy should I eat Love My Cupcakes cupcakes?

Love My Cupcakes is NOT a nut-free bakery. Many of our flavors contain peanuts or other nut products. We recommend that customers with nut allergies steer on the side of caution and refrain from eating our cupcakes.

Can I order cupcakes that are off-season?

Can't wait for one of your favorite flavors to come out? Seasonal cupcakes can be ordered throughout the year with a minimum order of a dozen per flavor.
